Children’s workshops

Otsu Children’s Noh Music Workshop 2022

This workshop, which allows children to experience Japanese classical Noh music, will be held at the Otsu Traditional Performing Arts Center.

Over six sessions, children from 1st year elementary school through 3rd year junior high school will be taught a Noh piece, which they will then present in a performance at the end of the workshop.

6 rehearsals

1st session: Friday August 26

2nd session: Friday September 16

3rd session: Friday October 14

4th session: Friday November 18

5th session: Friday December 16

6th session: Friday January 13, 2023

Kotsuzumi (small drum)  6 p.m.–7 p.m.

Otsuzumi (large drum)  6 p.m.–7 p.m.

 

(This allows for time between sessions for preparations and to ventilate the room. Actual rehearsals last for about 40 minutes.)
