To have children in Otsu City learn the world-class traditional Japanese performing art of Nohgaku by practicing and performing Nohgaku-bayashi (Noh musical accompaniment) on stage, and to let them know the high artistic quality of Nohgaku, which is both a classic and a modern form of Noh. By experiencing Nohgaku, which begins and ends with a bow, the goal is to convey the importance of greetings.
In the 2024 Otsu Children’s Nohgaku Music Class, students will learn the fue (flute) and otsuzumi (large hand drum). The piece to be taught is “Ha no mai”.

Capacity: 15 students each; if there are too many applications, we will hold a lottery.
