This performance, titled “Hayashido Laboratory,” is subsidized by the Agency for Cultural Affairs “ARTS for the future! 2” project.

This performance aims to nurture young Noh musicians and promote Noh music. Taiko drummer Rintaro Kawamura recently joined the troupe and boosts us to a new level.

Two taiko drummers (Watanabe and Kawamura) explain the features of the taiko and give stage tips. Two small drum performers (Yamato and Daiki Hayashi) play the same piece, “Tama-no-dan” from the Noh play “Ama,” in differing styles. Hayashido Laboratory features many exclusive, experimental presentations for you to enjoy Noh and its music from various angles.

This is the 6th “Hayashi Labo” – a great way to get up close and experience Noh music.

We look forward to seeing everyone there.
